We are always striving to improve our products and our new updated V2 High Flow Air Filter for the Focus ST and RS includes several enhancements that substantially enhance air flow compared to the standard filter and even our previous version.
Improvements include a unique smooth radius in the primary inlet port providing an efficient transition for air flow along with a shorter inner filter cone to allow maximum air velocity and flow directly to the inlet port.
These updates coupled with double layer cotton gauze with deep pleats that creates a 10-15% increase in filtration surface area compared to other filters on the market. The oiled filter media is incapsulated in steel mesh that helps to maintain the perfect shape under the most extreme conditions. Each mountune filter is manufactured using a four step process resulting in a precision fit and virtually no seepage of rubber frame material into the filter media producing the maximum available filter area.
Please note for Focus RS, replacing the original air filter with a high flowing unit may cause a whistling type noise on some vehicles. Please see our Sound Suppression Chamber for more details.
